Celebrating the 563rd Hangeul Proclamation Day or Korean Alphabet Day (October 9), (1) Province-wide Korean speaking contest by foreign residents is to be held; (2) through the contest, foreign residents’ Korean speaking skills are to be promoted; and (3) the Korean Speaking Contest is to provide the opportunity for contestants and visitors to get mutually acquainted with and establish new friendships.
