The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) announced the twenty two institutional recipients of funding for their education enforcement programs. Jeju National University's proposal for the program fund received 4.1 billion won, more than any other institutions in the funding competition. The MEST education enforcement program supports institutional projects to evaluate the efficiency and improvement of collegiate education and curricula and the fund provides for direct subsidy of tuition expenses of the students involved in each institutional program. JNU's application for the program funding fared well in the areas of students employment rate, globalization through industry-academe cooperation, faculty, student ratio, educational cost and scholarship availability.
